Score One For The Whack-Job

Iran’s President Amadin-a-whackjob came off looking pretty good.  The US in general, and Columbia U and its President in particular, look like bastards.  Columbia U invited Amadinijab into its house — he was their guest.  And then, once he was inside their house, the head of the household proceeded to lambaste his invited guest.  I find myself in agreement with voices which are today coming from within Iran — it was despicable.

CU’s president could have said something like, “You are about to hear from a controversial figure, who’s presence here is itself quite a controversy.  We support nothing that he has said to-date.  Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the president of Iran.”  And, with that, the CU president should have taken his seat and let The Whack-Job begin his self-humiliation that he proceeded to engage in.

Instead, the sound bytes now making the rounds show how uncivilized and petty are these United States — after we all criticized Chavez for coming here last year and insinuating that our president is The Devil incarnate.  And, our President Bush was not an invited guest in the House of Chavez.
